Write your recovery phrase down offline and keep it somewhere only you can access. One recovery can restore accounts across the networks in your wallet.
Smartable asks you to confirm recovery information before you rely on it. A backup you have not tested is a plan you have not finished.

Create a separate wallet for an AI agent. It has its own recovery phrase, accounts and balance — completely separate from your Primary Wallet.
Fund it only with what you are comfortable allocating to that wallet. You set the networks, permitted request types and per-asset limits. Every transaction still requires your review, confirmation and signature in Smartable.
An AI connected here can reach nothing in your Primary Wallet.

FAQ
No. Smartable is non-custodial: your keys stay encrypted on your device, and your recovery phrase is never sent to Smartable. The phrase follows the BIP-39 standard, so you can restore it in another compatible wallet.
You can restore access on the same or another device with recovery material you control: your recovery phrase, or — if you chose split backup — the required recovery shares and any backup password needed to decrypt a stored share.
Split backup lets you keep recovery shares across independent locations you choose. Its shares are sealed with the password you had when you made it, so if you forget that password, your recovery phrase is the way back. Smartable cannot restore a lost recovery phrase, missing required shares, or a forgotten backup password.
The app is free to use.
For supported swaps and cross-chain swaps, Smartable may earn a disclosed fee for its interface and integrations. You see the fees in the transaction review before you confirm.
Smartable does not add a fee to provider purchases or sales. Network fees go to the blockchain network, and providers show their own prices and fees at checkout.

Yes. Smartable works with Ledger, Trezor and Keystone. Your keys stay on the device, and every transaction is approved there — your phone cannot sign without it.
Ledger connects over Bluetooth or, on Android, by USB cable, for Ethereum and EVM networks, Solana and Bitcoin. Trezor connects by USB cable on Android, for the same networks. Keystone stays air-gapped and signs by QR code, for Ethereum and EVM networks.
On a Ledger, contract calls such as swaps may need blind signing turned on in the Ethereum app, where the device shows fewer details — review them in Smartable first.
No. An AI connection only reads the data you choose to share. With an Agent Wallet — a separate wallet with its own funds — an AI can propose operations within the limits you set, and each one still reaches Smartable for you to review, confirm and sign. Both are in beta.
Not yet. Smartable has not completed an independent third-party security audit.
Open-source components and automated testing improve transparency, but they do not replace an independent audit. Until one is complete, use Smartable carefully and do not rely on it with more funds than you can afford to risk.
