Someone asked me to send USDC — which address do I give them?

There is no such thing as "your USDC address". Pick the exact asset-and-network pair in Receive, and share the address it shows for that pair.

USDC exists on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Base, Avalanche and a dozen other networks. They are different chains with different rules. An address that receives USDC on one is not a receiving address on another — and coins sent to the wrong one do not bounce.

This is why Receive in Smartable does not show "your address". It shows a row for each asset-and-network pair, with a filter to narrow the list. You pick the pair; the app shows the address and QR code for exactly that pair.

What to send the other person

Three things, together:

  • the network name, spelled as the sending app spells it;
  • the address for that network;
  • the asset.

"USDC on Base" plus the address is unambiguous. "My USDC address" is not.

If they send from an exchange

Exchanges name networks in their own way — the same chain may appear as ERC-20, Ethereum, or ETH mainnet. Match the chain, not the label, and send a small test amount first when the amount matters.

Still stuck?

The address in our Privacy Policy reaches a person — use it for privacy requests, security reports and anything this page could not answer.

One rule

Support will never ask for your recovery phrase, private key or password, and never messages you first. Anyone who does is not us — whatever address, avatar or logo they use.
