Card purchases are not available where I am

Buying and cashing out run through MoonPay and Coinbase, and their coverage is not ours to set. The wallet itself — holding, sending, receiving, swapping — works everywhere.

Smartable does not take your money and does not hold it. Card purchases are performed by named partners — MoonPay and Coinbase — who settle to an address the app shows you on screen, and every partner operates under licences that cover some countries and not others.

Where a partner does not serve your country, no purchase can be started. That is their decision and their compliance obligation, not a setting inside the wallet.

What still works

Everything that does not involve them: receiving, sending, swapping, split backup, hardware signing, watch-only accounts. A wallet is not a payments company, and the self-custody part has no geography.

Getting funds in another way

  • Receive from an exchange that serves your country.
  • Receive from another wallet you already hold.
  • Swap something you already have.

If the whole app reports that networks cannot be reached rather than only the purchase screen, that is a different problem — see the article on chains that do not answer.

Still stuck?

The address in our Privacy Policy reaches a person — use it for privacy requests, security reports and anything this page could not answer.

One rule

Support will never ask for your recovery phrase, private key or password, and never messages you first. Anyone who does is not us — whatever address, avatar or logo they use.
