Selling crypto goes through a third-party provider, in two halves: you agree the sale with the provider, then you send the crypto from your own wallet.
The steps
- 01Open Buy or sell crypto, choose Sell, and continue to the provider.
- 02On the provider's side, choose the amount and how you want to be paid, and confirm. Identity checks, if any, happen there.
- 03Back in Smartable, Finish your cash-out shows what the provider is waiting for: the asset, the amount, the network and the address to send to. These come from the provider's answer — Smartable does not choose them.
- 04Tap Send now. The ordinary send screen opens with those details filled in. Review them, confirm and sign.
- 05The provider completes the payout once the crypto arrives.
If the screen says Nothing to send yet, the sale can take a few seconds to appear after you confirm it. Pull down to check again.
Mind the time limit
The provider waits for the crypto for a limited time — thirty minutes after you confirm. After that the sale is cancelled, and crypto that arrives late stays in your account with the provider, as crypto, instead of being paid out. Send within the window, and keep a little of the network's coin to pay the send's fee.
When Smartable cannot send it for you
For some assets and networks the app cannot fill in the send automatically. It then shows the provider's address, and you send the amount yourself from the account that holds it.
A watch-only account cannot sell — there is no key on the phone to send with.
What the app shows
- “Finish your cash-out”
- “Send now”
- “Nothing to send yet”
Security note
Never share your recovery phrase, private key, password or device PIN. Smartable will never ask for them or ask you to sign a transaction to “verify” or “recover” your wallet.
